Hey guys,
I am a fairly inexperienced smoker. I got a brinkmann electric last year for my birthday and really enjoy the things I've done so far. which is not much since my birthday is in Nov. and it's been kinda cold. I am looking forward to learning a lot from you people.
 
Welcome. What you don't like icicles hangong off you as you try to smoke? If we think warm we will get it.
 
Welcome to the site..............You might want to take the 5 day ecourse......Don't let the cold stop you...........I haven't stopped since I started last March...........I live in ND not far from you........So smoke on..........

We're here to help...with temp issues, methods of heat conservation, etc. Yeah, it IS more fun when ya can sit smoker-side with a beer... but that's why I have a picture window...;{)

Welcome to SMF from your neighbor to the west. In the upper midwest, winter smoking puts a new meaning to the term cold smoke !!!
 
Welcome to the forum. Winter....It's never too cold to eat great food, so why would it be too cold to smoke great food??????LOL

Enjoy the forum, it's a great place to learn. Everytime you take the advice from the awesome people here, you will notice the quality of your smoke get better. Trust me on that (personal experience).

welcome to SMF you wooos,to cold to smoke-ya right(hehe) soon it will be 110 here-am I supposed to quit smokin than-naaaa.Glad you found us-have fun.
 
Uff da! Too cold to smoke??? I think not. I useda live up dere in East Bethel and I smoked in the winter, right after I blew the snow off the patio.

Don't mind them, there just infected by all the smoke. Don't forget though, the smoker does put off heat so if you stand real close to it that will help keep you warm. Welcome.

Hey Chug: Don't let these guys raz you to much, I know what you mean, I work construction 10 hours a day, so when it's cold it's really hard to go out and tend a smoker. That's why my new one I'm building is electric, will be able to use it more in the winter as I'm keepin it in the shop!
