yes it does........tho, finding native hawiian wood round here wuld be a challenge

Buy a batch of the country style ribs and give it a shot. It's the same thing right? I'm lazy, so at least let the butcher cut it for me. Looks good to me.

I make something similar using garlic, ginger, five spice, honey and soy, but I sure plan on giving your recipe a try.

If the grocery stores here in MI have shoyu ( 2 brands), you probably will beable to get it where you live. If not, order online. It is good stuff!
 
dawg........i googled shoyu, its nothing but soy sauce, shoyu is just the hawiian word for soy sauce
