My wife was the lucky recipient of a 10lb ham shank with bone in it. I am looking for some idea's for it??????????

It has already been smoked?????????

Congrats!

Whatever you do save the bone and some meat for cabbage soup! or ham and bean soup? or Lentel soup? or Red beans and rice? or Pea soup?

Just plain ole ham?

Must be winter all I can think of is nice hot soup!

Yep. Do Jeff's thing with it. Smoke it to internal temp of 140°. Baste or mop it every 30 minutes or so with one part pineapple juice and three parts honey. I'd score it all over and insert a whole clove where each of the cuts intersect.
You will like what you get.

Split it up into a few dishes

15 bean soup!
A big ole mess of turnip greens!
A few Ham and cheese omlets for a couple of mornings!
A few Ham sammies!
A few ABTs with a little Ham in the filling!
Scalloped potatoes with Ham!

Do I really need to go on?

How about some other ideas fron the rest of the gang?
