Welcome to SMF, John! Like Monsta, I use an MES. For me it works well because my schedule is a little unpredictable at times and if I get called a way, my wife or daughter can tend it for an hour or two.
I have had problems keeping the temps up if it is cool (50Â° or less) and windy, even if I have it sheltered. But in general it's worked pretty well for me. With 4 shelves it will hold a quite a bit of meat.
