Olive oil and basil! Peel it to individual cloves, soak it for about a week and smoke it for about 3 to 4 hours or until it gets squishy feeling, then squeeze out the paste - nectar of the Gods!
BTW save the olive oil it'll be great!
Smoked Garlic and Olive Pate'
Take a 1/4 teaspoon of smoked garlic paste, or to taste
1/2 pound of of good green or black Italian salad olives pitted
a pinch or 2 of sea salt (not much the olives are salty)
a dash of olive oil (maye 1/4 teaspoon)
1/2 teaspoon of basil
Throw it in a blender until smooth. Spread on a small bite sized chunk of artesian bread or crackers. Yummmmmm!
