We are gonna spin up a couple birds this afternoon on chargriller with Kingsford and a little hickory
I brined birds in salt water and sugar for like 3 hrs, then air dried in fridge overnight
1 bird with lemon pepper
1 with a new rub ....pretty simple
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons dry mustard
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
and sprinkled celery salt on insides of each bird
Will keep grill around 350 and should be around 2 hrs or so, till I get an internal of 165 - 170
1 Side is wife is making her Homemade Stuffing
1 loaf of bread
1/2 Vidalia onion
1 1/2 cup of cut up celery with the leafs
1 stick of butter
1 can of chicken broth
saute onions, butter, and celery till onions are soft
dump all into bowl of bread, mix thoroughly along with can of chicken broth
put into pan,( no need to spray pan ), and cover with foil, bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
and second side is..... Summer Baked Zucchini Casserole
1 1/2 lbs of 1/4 inch thick slices
6 green onions chopped ( scallions)
1 egg beaten
3/4 cup Kraft classic ranch dressing
1 1/2 cup sharp shredded cheese
16 round buttery crackers crushed
heat oven to 350 deg
spray casserole dish with cooking spray, lay all sliced zucchini in, sprinkle all chopped scallions over zucchini, add ranch dressing all over the top, add all the cheese all over everything, then sprinkle the cracker crumbs all over the top, bake for 30 minutes
then, here is both sides all done ......
now ... off the the birds ... just putting them on the grill now ...lets get this grillin started ...
grill is at 300, and double row of Kinsford long front and rear with foil between to catch all drippings,
it's 2 in the afternoon, probably done in a couple hrs... time for a cocktail ....lol
Wife just came out and said she made some deviled eggs ....
damn nice ... I can eat like all of these .....
