Hey all,

I'm Mike, I'm a novice pitmaster, currently doing all my smoking in a tiny, mini-fridge sized electric Masterbuilt smoker. While it's served my small household well enough, it's not really suitable when we have a bunch of people over to visit. I recently did some renovations in the basement, and it's left me with a 275 gallon heating oil tank that I have no use for. I figure rather than try and figure out how to get rid of it, I'll kill two birds with one stone and try to find a way to turn it into a smoker that I can get some use out of. This forum seems pretty chock full of information, so I figured I'd sign up and join the community!
