#2 son is in town for spring break and so far we've had a ball!

Earlier today he was giving me crap about the rotisserie kit I had in a box that's been sitting in the garage for around 6 months. I said something along the lines of; "ok, let's make a cooker for it", and he jumped on it!

We scrounged up some scrap material in the shop and got busy. We cut the sheet metal, found a coal basket, fabbed up an ash pan, and then welded everything together. The ash pan slides out for easy cleaning, I'm particularly proud of the boy for coming up with that one!

As of now, it's all held in place with "C" clamps, but will be finalized soon. I just need to make sure of where I want everything.

This isn't a big cooker, but it'll be perfect for me and the bride!

I hate to say it, but the chickens were picked over and eaten at the bar! They were amazing! Juicy like you wouldn't believe! I'll be doing this again on a regular basis!

So, here they are after bringing them in the house. I didn't get another pic after since we were wearing them out and were starving!

Tomorrow, the boy and I will be smoking 11 pounds of legs and thighs out at the farm for dad. You'll get some better pics then!

I wish I had gotten more pictures, but we had spent 4 hours making the grill and then sat and watched the birds spin until we were dizzy with hunger!

Planning my next cook now.
