We did the burn off earlier today, and we let the coals burn out. I got the Chicken ready to go on, loaded up the Smoker, got it started, up to temp with everything going great!

Some neighbors came over and were checking it out. I had been taking pics for the Qview. I made the mistake of not taking my camera inside with me. I came back out and one of the friends that was with our neighbor suddenly disappeared! WITH MY CAMERA!!!

Our neighbor and Wade have gone to find the guy, and I just got off the phone with a friend of mine on the Sheriff's Dept. I hope they find this scumbag!

I actually feel violated right now.
 
Wow, how stupid you have to be. It's not like a passerby grabbed the camera! Your neighbors obviously know this thief, their address and phone number! Not to mention, what? Can you live a life on the lam after hocking a Camera?!?!...JJ

Where the hell do you live?  Most places don't require a 12 gauge to tend a smoker.  Did all the neighbors scatter like illuminated roaches once the camera was discovered missing?  C'mon, Mamma--go start banging on some doors and tell the hoodrats to give your camera back.

We got it back!!!!  The scumbag was picked up by the cops and had the camera with him! I am so glad to get it back! Sometimes its a good thing to have a Sheriff's Deputy as a friend.

I have to go down to sign some kind of complaint, so will let ya in on details when I get home.  I pulled the Chicken and it was tasty, but was too upset to really eat.

Glad to hear it worked out for you.  Just a thought, were you were ever again to be the next guest star on "Cops"?  Might not want to take time out of the search/report/arrest process to go post on an Internet forum...maybe it's just me, but I don't think that would find its way onto any of my to-do lists if I'd been robbed.

I hope the neighbor, that brought the perp., was humbled and apologized profusely ....  He must feel pretty low...  I know if I brought someone to a friends house, and they ripped off my friend...  there would be hell to pay and I'd be dishing it out.....

Wade(hubby) and the neighbor who brought the guy here actually found him and held him till the Sheriff Dept got there. Hubby knew better than to let me go with them, I would be in jail right now! I just needed to "talk" to somebody I was so upset.

The guy has a record and is sitting in jail right now on a high bond because he has a few No-Shows for court. Don't think he will be out anytime soon. Our neighbor has apologized profusely, saying he had not known the guy was such a douchebag.  

The Chicken turned out good, we ended up eating really late, but it was yummy. Proud of myself for my first cook, even if I didn't get the pics I wanted.
