Hello from PA

Hola, mi nombre es John and I am from PA. Santa brought me a Masterbuilt 20070910 30" electric smoker for Christmas. I really enjoy grilling all year even in the dead of winter. I consider my skills decent but by far no master. I am certainly all new to this territory but am really excited about the challenge. I am in the research and study phase currently. I as well received a book with my gift intitled "Project Smoke" by Steven Raichlen that I have read through, joined this forum to gain some additional insight (recommended by a coworker), and have yet to even open the box the smoker came in. Again really don't know the first thing about what I am getting into just know the first thing coming out of that thing will be jerky of some kind. Please feel free to pass on any knowledge or advice you are willing to share. Thank you.
