I have friends with BGEs and I'm convinced I can get better (or as good) results with this smoker. That said I've never used gas smokers. Any advice? I read the forums and it seems that he major issue is insulation and preventing flare ups. For the latter am I correct in reading that many of you have covered the flame disk with perforated foil and/or just used an 8" cast iron pan? Any other pointers are appreciated. Planning. On smoking pork ribs this weekend.
