chuck roast

any thoughts or tips on smoking a chuck roast ???

Diablo Beef - 



  • 5 Lb. Chuck Roast

  • 1 bottle All Spice Café’s Chipotle Garlic Sauce

  • Cattlemen’s Grill Steak Seasoning

  • 4 cups beef broth

  • Dried red peppers, to taste

  • Sliced cheese, we used pepper jack

  • Onions and sweet peppers sautéed, to taste 

  1. Inject roast with beef broth 

  2. Rub with a heavy coating of seasonings

  3. Add peppers if desired

  4. Cover with sauce 

  5. Put on uncovered at 300 deg for 2 hours. Cover and continue cooking at 300 for 3 hours until “butter tender”

  6. Shred beef and serve

I smoke it just like a butt.
