I have recently jumped into the world of meat smoking after being intrigued for years. I have a lot of professional cooking experience, worked as a line cook and later in my career as a sous chef for a very busy and nationally awarded restaurant here in Minneapolis.
My amazing girlfriend got me a Weber Smokey Mountain for a christmas gift after seeing my interest in the craft. Awesome gift that makes both of us happy! I have been doing a lot of briskets, and a not so successful pork shoulder.
Smoking is definitely a learned talent/art that takes a lot of getting used to, but I love spending the day relaxing and tending to it, a drink in hand never hurts when doing that too! Excited to learn more about smoking and get some great tips from the forums.
