           Hi to all.

I don't know if I am at the correct place on this site to post this thread. I am 62 years young and enjoy grilling and smoking. I have an electric smoker that I used but had some temp. problems. I then bought a Smoke Hollow gas smoker I only used several times. I am getting ready for retirement. I hope then I can play a lot more. I am blessed with a wife [44years married] that is an outstanding cook. With her help I enjoy cooking some things. I think sometimes she might think some of my questions are crazy. I also use a Weber silver grill several times a week. I am always looking for something to grill. I hope this was ok for my first post.

                                                                                                                         Thanks Big Mo

Welcome from SC, Big Mo. You are absolutely in the right place. This is a great site with lots of folks who are eager to share their ideas and tips. All you have to do is ask and keep reading. Smoking is a great pastime. With your helpful wife, it just keeps getting better.

Good luck and keep on smokin', Joe.

           Hi Joe

Just a little reply to say feels good to meet new people. I was in the navy at Charleston 73-74 & 76-77. Nice place but nice to come home. Hope to talk to you again.

Welcome Big Mo! You picked a great site to get more info! My wife is an excellent cook too, but she is always surprised by what goes into smoking and grilling. I think you can find an answer to your temp problems, or almost anything else, with the search function and there is always somebody with good advice for specific problems. There is also a lot of new things to get into as well! I've become obsessed with cast iron and Dutch Ovens lately! Congrats on your retirement!

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a warm, cloudy and rainy day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
