I have just received a Masterbuilt 2door propane smoker as a gift.
I am looking for any and all advice

I smoked 3 boneless chicken breasts the other day and made them bitter. From what I have been reading, I kept to much smoke in the smoker. Does this sound correct??

IMHO you had too much smoke.  I would say to be sure and keep the exhaust vent on your smoker wide open.  that said, welcome to the forum the search bar at the top of the page is a great resource.  Have a question/problem requiring an immediate answer?  Simply search it.  Feel free to post any questions you have and someone will be along shortly to help you out.  Remember when smoking you are not looking for that white billowing smoke, that will give your meat a bitter taste as well.

Welcome Jimbo.  Like Bear;  I am wondering what your exhaust setting was and if you were smoking with a too low, smoldering fire.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
