Hello everyone. I am brand new to smokingmeatforums, have been lurking and trying to gather as much info as I could for a few weeks now. I'm from , Montreal,Quebec, Canada and am a novice to the art of smoking.

I am in the process of buying all I need for a stick burner build. I am going with a 20" pipe x 60" long. I may have some questions for some of you experts out there and will greatly appreciate all/any help I get.

Unfortunately all my smokers are in storage until mid-April.Kills me but c'est LA vie.

Welcome to these forums. Also from GTA. Winter smoking has advantages and disadvantages. I smoke year round. This time of the year I cold smoke a lot. I also smoke chicken, turkey, smaller pork cuts, fish. Wouldn't try a butt or brisket - would take forever.

Montreal Smoked


Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it.

Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.


I know it's a lot colder there!! But you can smoke year round anywhere!! Now is the time of year I do my stock up smoking, like cheese,bacon and all of the other things that require cold or cool smoking

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
