Picnic shoulders on sale this week,  lets go!

Cooked at 250 for 6 hours then wrapped for another 2 till I brought it to 200 degrees on my gas masterbuilt 2 door. I went with mesquite this time around as this was all I had on hand. Really cold outside today so results were good but not my personal best. Still quite tasty. Oh yeah almost forgot that it was mopped every hour with an apple cider and captain morgan rum mix.

Looks great , I made one yesterday as well, I really like that "Rum Wash " as well...

What flavored does the rum impart? Does it leave an alcoholic aftertaste at all?

Not at all. The rum imparts a mellow flavour that compliments the smoke.
