Just found you when looking into a new smoker! I have a 22" Weber Smokey Mountain, but I'm about to buy an MES for versatility. I THINK the reason I want the MES is lower temp work smoking/curing. I am just starting to learn about the MES and trying to decide between 30" or 40" and gen1, gen2, or wait on gen3. I see quite a few problems reported with gen2, so just waiting on gen3 to hit the streets this month and then compare. I can get a gen1 or gen2 40" under 3 Benjamins right now.
