Offset smoker with vertical and horizontal smoking chamber

I'm curious how some of the posters use the vertical/upright box on their cooker that has both a horizontal and vertical cooking chamber.

How much cooler does the vertical run vs the horizontal chamber? With tuning plates is it possible to get them to run the same temp?

Great question as I am wondering the same thing as I am thinking of getting a larger smoker.   Hopefully someone has one and can help out!
