Cure 1 (Pink Salt) question

Can Cure 1 go bad?  My "Pink Salt" has turned from being pink to a pale color.  It was stored in a Rubbermaid container with the lid on...kinda airtight but not perfect.  Will it still hold its cure powers?

the pale color is breakdown of the pink dye that is use to differentiate it from regular table salt. here's a thread from the sausage section a few weeks ago. 

 

some say use it, some say pitch it.
