There are a few of us that are going to meet at the Judges area on the 26th of October for "The Jack" this year.

Haven't nailed down a time yet....but it sure would be nice to meet some of yall!

May even try and get a group picture!

I am getting excited.  I have not been to this event before....time just needs to hurry up!

The Jack is awesome.  I went to the CBJ class there.  Famous Dave Anderson was in my class!  We saw Guy Fieri:

...and met Myron.  Here's SWMBO with Myron:

Okay folks...The Jack Weekend is getting closer!  What time do yall want to try and meet up?  I like Bama BBQ's idea of meeting around the Judges area.  Just name a time...and we will be there.

Well Kat and I did not meet up.  That's a shame.  I was lookin forward to it.

I saw the Smokin Trigger's (only 2 time winner of the Jack), Diva Q, Cool Smoke, Cancer Sucks, Fork You, Shiggin n Grinnin, QUAU, and on and on.  Most of the teams were friendly and courteous to all us backyard amateurs looking on ....others... not so much.  They were all in the zone and takin care of business.

Firecraft, Yoder, Primo and more were on hand for display and demos. We saw everything from UDS(s) to WSM(s), Backwoods to Stumps, Jambo to Yoder, and a lot of Primo(s) (they were a sponsor), and more. Maverick temp probes were too numerous to count, BBQ Guru and home made PID controllers seemed the most prevalent ATC(s).

The 25th Anniversary Jack was a lot of fun ...as always.

...back home now. Watchin Bama whoop TN.

Congratulations to Tuffy Stone and Cool Smoke Team for the Grand Champion win at the 25th Anniversary Jack.  Here's a photo of the eventual Grand Champion team in action taken about an hour before the turn ins started:
