Hi, I just joined up as we bought a Char-Broil 625 charcoal grill/smoker and am looking for tips and tricks. I've been using propane grills for years but now that I'm back with charcoal (the wife resisted for years for some reason - probably because the ease and cost of propane) my 15 year old daughter doesn't want me to grill with anything else. I tried my first set of baby back ribs yesterday and they were so-so. Don't think the cut was the best and I'm sure I'm going to have trial and error. My smoker doesnot have a separate firebox, so I went with soaked chery chips over the coals. Smelled damn good! I hope to read through a bunch of threads here for recipe and cooking advice. Looking forward to it. I'm in Methuen, MA, right on the MA/NH border.
