Ive smoked plenty of pork butts and ribs with the UDS im just not happy on how the lid fits. Smoke tends to go out the sides of the lid because the drum is not perfectly round. Whats a good way to seal it. Thanks.

Hello brg.  You could use foil to fill the gaps around the lid or put your lid on and fill the gap with high temp silicone and then remove the lid before silicone sets then allow it to dry.  You may have to do this a couple times but I would think a "gasket" should form on the barrel.  OR form the gasket in the lid.  Without seeing your rig I don't know which fits where.  Hope this helps.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Another option is to use oven door gasket, or stove gasket. Some are self adhering. Big green egg also has replacement gasket for the Eggs that would work too.
