I got my A-MAZE-N Pellet Smoker (AMNPS) 3 weeks ago. I found I had a problem keeping it going at first unless I unhooked the control box from the smoker. So I took a board, put it under the control box and pushed it against the posts it normally hangs on.

This leaves about 1/4 inch space between the controller box and the Bradley and gave me enough air to keep it going.

However, through the last few smokes, I have had some pellets still burning in the AMNPS when I was finished. So, I hooked the box back on to the unit and shut the damper to fully closed on the top thinking it would just air starve the pellets and put them out. Every time, they burnt to the end.

My suggestion is, if you need to allow air to get the AMNPS going, unhook the controller but when the smoke is going well, hook it back up. It seems to work fine.
