Hi all!

Hello, my name is Steve from Delaware.   I decided to try out smoking meats earlier this year, but wrestled with what type of smoker to get...Weber, offset, electric, etc.  After a lot of research, I found the smoking-it web site and reviewed their three unit models and comments from others.  I purchased the #2 smoker in January and have been smoking meat nearly every weekend.  Now the neighbors regularly check in for extra ribs, wings, etc!    I look forward to the discussion boards and finding out new things to try!

Hello Steve and welcome to the fun.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  The trial and error method works well.  We will try to help you keep the errors to a minimum since we already made ‘em for ya.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Thanks for the warm welcome!   I have taken Jeff's E-Course and saved all of the documents!   I also purchased Jeff's rub and sauce recipes last week, and had some excellent ribs using them last weekend!  Great stuff.  Location has been updated, also.  Thanks.

welcome1.gif to SMF!  We are so glad you joined us!

If you didn't read the "Terms of Service" notes.....please do. There are a few things that everyone should know about those pesky little rules before plunging into the forums. Just a teeny bit of information for some of the rules here at SMF before you get started, off site links are not allowed.

If you need any help roaming around the forums....give me a shout. I will be happy to help out!

Hi Steve,

welcome1.gif to the SMF, the best BBQ site on the web.  Whatever you need to know about the fine art of BBQ you can find it right here, from recipes to technical knowledge.

One thing you need to know about us is that we like to see pictures of your creations and your gear.  We call it Q-View and its basically the Rules.gif!!!

So, don't just talk about your food, show it!  Otherwise you may get a gentle reminder, like this...
