my wife bought me a cabela's  jerky blaster and I have had fun using it. but I have noticed if I use store bought season packs the flavor is too mild for me. I have tried cabelas teriyaki and hi mountain bourbon bbq but the flavor is still very hamburger like. I have been using my oven to dry till I can afford a smoker but how can I get a more bold flavor in my jerky? any help would be appreciated.

Sorry after reading again I realized you were using ground meat. I make whiole muscle jerky
I would say add more spices and seasoning. You could make your jerky strips and spray them with soy sauce and sprinkle pepper and seasoning on them then dry
