On March 27 we lost our 23 yr old son. After posted pictures of a smoke I did in his honor, we were so blessed with an outpouring of support from the SMF community.
I wanted to personally say "Thank You!" Most of these folks I'll never meet. But the heart felt condolences we received were beyond belief.
I'm not posting this for pity. I'm posting this because I want everyone to know what an outstanding group of folks are here.
We continue to struggle with our lose. A few others here know our pain.
By the grace of God, we will get through this. If you pray, please pray for us. We are a very close family. We've been married for 28 years, raise 3 awesome boys. Our middle son was taken from us. He was a Marine Corps. Vet. Our youngest son is in the Marines now. He is up for his first deployment in late July. He has no one to lean on, to talk to. He got to come home for his brothers funeral and had to leave. He was very close to his brother. Please say a special prayer for him. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders. We do talk and text with him, but for the most part he has no one to lean on. Our oldest son is autistic. He lives at home with us.
I have started smoking again some. Life just doesn't seem the same now. Maybe someday..... we can find what used to be called normal.
