SMF - Thank You!

Thread Starter

To my SMF friends,

No sure where this belongs, but I'll put it here.  If it needs moved or deleted, please do so.

On March 27 we lost our 23 yr old son.   After posted pictures of a smoke I did in his honor, we were so blessed with an outpouring of support from the SMF community.

I wanted to personally say "Thank You!"  Most of these folks I'll never meet.  But the heart felt condolences we received were beyond belief.

I'm not posting this for pity.  I'm posting this because I want everyone to know what an outstanding group of folks are here.

We continue to struggle with our lose.   A few others here know our pain.

By  the grace of God, we will get through this.   If you pray, please pray for us.  We are a very close family.  We've been married for 28 years, raise 3 awesome boys.   Our middle son was taken from us.  He was a Marine Corps. Vet.    Our youngest son is in the Marines now.  He is up for his first deployment in late July.   He has no one to lean on, to talk to.  He got to come home for his brothers funeral and had to leave.   He was very close to his brother.   Please say a special prayer for him.   He has the weight of the world on his shoulders.  We do talk and text with him, but for the most part he has no one to lean on.   Our oldest son is autistic.  He lives at home with us.

I have started smoking again some.   Life just doesn't seem the same now.  Maybe someday.....  we can find what used to be called normal.

From the bottom of our hearts.  "Thank You!"

Wes.....I saw the post with you selling bbq to pay for medical bills.  All I can say is Bless you and your family.  I can not imagine the loss of a child.  We are meant to go first.  Just want to send yall a big hug and tell you that you are an important part of SMF.  I am so proud that your other son is in the Marines too.  Please tell him that my family appreciates his Service.  usa.gif  My only son did his time in the Army, but is home now.

If you need to lean on us....we are here for you!

Prayers and thoughts to you and your family. Unfortunately the healing doesn't happen overnight, nor will it really ever go away, but it does ease with time. There will be days that things seem nearly normal and there will be those that you just don't feel you can go on, but you will. You have a Guardian Angel above looking down on the family and for the son who will be deploying, his brother will always be with him, and I will keep thoughts and prayers of a safe return home for him. Here we are all family. Many heartfelt thanks for your sons military service.
