Hello all.  I am Mike from Seattle (hence the SeaBQ).  I have been trolling the site looking at suggestions for a few weeks and finally joined.  I like the feedback the members of the site have been providing each other and I hope that I can get some tips from you as well.  I have limited experience doing the smoking myself, but I grew up in Kansas City and I know good BBQ from bad.  After becoming frustrated trying to find a BBQ joint in the Seattle area that was any good (I found 1 and its 45 minutes away), I decided that I'd give it a try myself and let my friends know what smoked meat is all about.  I bought a Louisiana Country Smoker pellet grill about a month ago and have been trying some new things out on it as I get to know my new toy and that is what originally brought me here.

Welcome, if you can't find inspiration reading these posts you're in trouble. These folks are friendly and not only helpful but timely with the info, its a great place.

I always try to use the search section before I beg for help. Usually someone has the same ssilly problem I need help with, besides it makes me feel less like a nub when someone else has done the same thing.

Smoking is a great way to learn patience, also a good way to get on the back deck and have a cool one.

Welcome to the forums, Mike!  Glad you've joined us.  You've found a great place to learn and share ideas on our favorite pastime...grilling and smoking great food!  There are lots of friendly and knowledgeable people here who really enjoy helping one another.  Just ask when you need help and you'll get plenty!
