How is everyone doing? My name is Dan, and I am from Levittown PA. I just bought a propane charbroil 580 cubic inch smoker. The only experience I have with smoking food has been eating it. So I may ask a lot of questions that may seem silly to some, but please bear with me. I learn quick.

Welcome to the SMF Family...We have had a run on PA guys joining this week, always glad to have another. Sign up for the FREE 5-Day eCourse, there is some good info. You can also use the Search feature to help and ask as many questions as you like. Try searching your model smoker and you will find info on what others have done to make better Q with it...JJ

Welcome Dan. I think we can all say we have plenty of experience eating smoked food. Now it's time to broaden your horizons and learn how to prepare it. The first time you smoke something and then pull it off the smoker after a long period of time of drooling and anticipation. You let it rest for however long, the drooling and anticipation continues. You get anxious cause you're not sure how it turned out. Trust me, it all pays off when everyone in your family is having a conversation with words like...

MMM

Oh-My-God

Oh, etc.

That's when you will be bit and bit hard. You will be wanting to smoke something everyday and looking to smoke whatever you can think of. Good Luck and enjoy it. It is a blast.
