Hey everyone, my name is RJ. Been smoking since Christmas when i recieved my smoker as a present. I am addicted! I live in northwest PA where the weather goes from 15 degrees one day to 60 the next. Been hard trying to get used to the charcoal with the wind and all. Its a challenge but who doesnt like a good challenge. Looking into getting a propane Masterbuilt in a couple weeks to hopefully solve the wind problem until warmer weather. Have smoked a whole chicken,2 shoulders, and some ribs so far and everything went well besides dealing with the smoker staying between 180-200. Would love suggestions to get up to 230 or so. Also doing my first brisket this weekend and would love any help you can give, thanks

Welcome to your new addiction... for any of us to give any advice... we need to know what kind of smoker your dealing with... As for the wind... thinking you need to make a wind block of some sort... (tarps, plywood, etc.)
