Isn't that one the 16 inch? I understand that to be a pretty good one. Same company that used to make OKJoes when they were good smokers I believe. I smoked on a 16 inch OKJoe once and made an OUTSTANDING brisket.
It will...... The thicker steel will hold temps better.... An easy mod is to add a piece of aluminum flashing rolled up and stick it into the bottom of the smoke stack and extend the smoke stack down to the grate
Welcome to the neighborhood. I too have a NB purchased in '92. It's the RedRiver model . Very same as yours , but with a stainless shelf instead of the wood, like yours.
I've had 22yrs. of great smoking , had it repainted , reverse flow mod. , and some really rough hadling by my Son. I'll never get rid of it, it is a 16"er too.
I'll be doing a little welding on the legs and handles this Spring , and maybe go 4-wheeler with it ( getting hard to lift and pull the little Beast around now).
