I am macdiver. I live in the Philly suburbs in New Jersey. I have a New Braunsfel Silver Smoker. I have had my smoker for around 14 years. I smoke mostly ribs and pork shoulders. Sometimes I will also smoke a briscit. I also use my smoker as an indirect cooker by building a fire in the smoke chamber close to the firebox and putting the meat on tge exhaust side. I can cook at a highervtemp but not over crisp the food. I do this mostly with chicken either whole beer can or cut up parts. For really nice steaks I cook them directly over the coals.
I also have a gas grill i use for quick items like hamburgers or fish. My gas grill is just a cheap one.

For other things to know about me, I am a barefoot runner (yes skin to ground not minimum shoes) and just completed my first marathon last november. I also like scuba diving hence the screen name.
