Ok, this is probably a pretty basic question, but I'm trying to figure out a decent solution. This summer I got my Lang 36 hybrid deluxe (which I must say is incredible!) and I've had some great smokes with it. Overall it has been very easy to control temps with one exception. I've noticed on longer cooks, the ash build-up in the firebox starts to reduce airflow and makes temps harder to maintain. I've tried shoveling the ash out, but due to the crossbar welded to the grate I can only get the hot ash out of the very front of the smoker. Does anyone have any ideas for a tool of some sort for cleaning the ash out of the back of the firebox?
Thanks!

I raised my grate up using four 1.5" diameter steel pipe couples from the hardware store and place them at each corner.  I dont have the 36 but the 48.
