A friend loaned me her dehydrator to see if I liked it. I played and did some sliced mushrooms today. Here is what I did!

Dehydrated mushrooms are a wonderful ingredient to have in your pantry. The only thing is they need to be a medium thickness when sliced and 2 lbs or fresh shrooms dry down to about 2 oz, a one pint jar. But the are sill worth the work.

Try Whole Shiitake Mushrooms. There is no preparation and they get a very intense flavor. Great re-hydrated and used in Stir Fried Anything...JJ
Talked to by friend this morning...and she said Merry Christmas...so I guess it's mine now! Going to try some persimmon slices today or tomorrow.
