Another round of butts in the UDS !!

We buy butts when they go on sale and put them in the freezer. Took two out for todays smoke.

Got up at 4:30AM this morning put some rub on them then went outside. Little dark out there at

this time of the morning, really need to get some light put up out by my smokers. So for now

used the flashlight that on my phone so I can see .

set up the AMNPS in my mailbox mod. (works great !!!)

I really need to put my glasses on when I put the rub on. When I make up my rub I put it in empty

spice bottles, works great for shaking onto the meat. Well grab a bottle and starting putting the

rub on one of the butts. Didn't look right . Look at the bottle , it was "Gourmet Burger Seasoning"   

blamed it on it being to early in the morning. Well went ahead and cover it with my rub.

going to smoke close to 300 degrees the whole time . hope to be done in 8 hours..

like I said its a little dark outside. Got about 15 coals going here to put in my charcoal basket


Here We go . Got them on about 5:30 AM


Been on for 3 hours. the temp been right around 300 most of the time so far.
