I have a question which I couldnt find an answer with the search function. What do you guys do with the natural juice from the pork? After smoking for a while, I put the pork into a pan with a little apple juice and finish in the oven.  I always wonder if I should add the liquid into the pulled pork when its done. Do you guys keep it and use it or just throw it away?

Planning some pulled pork for tomorrow.

Chill and de-fat while pulling the butt, add a bit of vinegar and your dry rub spices for a finishing sauce. The vinegar really makes a huge difference, btw...adds that tartness that gets your taste-buds going.

YES !!!!!       I always save the juice from the butt , then Defat it and pour it back on the Pulled Pork. I don't add anything to

the juice .

The juice also makes great Gravy

I skim the fat, well sort of. I get what I can and don't fuss with it too much. Add apple juice, apple cider vinegar, beer and rub and use that mixture to finish the pork after pulling. What I have left I will mix with what BBQ sauce I have floating around and serve on the side.

I will also use the fat/juices to enhance other dishes like beans, soups and anything else that needs some smoky goodness help.....

Dude!!!! It's pork juice.  That and rendered bacon fat are the nectar of the gods and not to be squandered.  Yes, use it.

Thanks for suggestions. Will add the pork juice when I pull it. Also going to add jeff's bbq sauce on side for those that think the pork juice isnt enough. Excited to try out new charcoal today too. Found Frontier lump charcoal at my local Heinens. So far, its amazing. Lasting much longer than RO lump charcoal from walmart.

Been around 5-6 hours since smoking. Havent touched charcoal, although I did add wood chunks. Still running around 240 and plenty left. Rather shocked since RO lasts around 3-4 hours max for me before I have to add more.
