A while back someone posted a picture of a wire cart they had modified to put their MES up on. This is something I'm looking to do and rather than reinvent the wheel myself I'd like to look at what someone else has already figured out and done. Can someone point me to that posting? My search skills don't seem to be that sharp.

Thanks.

Dave - Looking at the mailbox mod is what got me thinking about that post. I plan on trying out the mailbox mod so that I can use my AMZNPS. I think this is the one I was thinking of: http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/t/73761/cart-modification-for-mes-nice. I'll look at the cart used in that mod and at the wire shelving to see what will work best. I need to get the MES up off the ground, and I need space under it for the mailbox.

Yep. Pretty sure that's the one. I'll have to see if I can  find that cart. We don't have a Sam's Club nearby. Thanks for passing along the post.

That mailbox mod is awesome! If I still had my MES 30 I'd do that for sure! But the MES 40 really doesn't need it, which is what I have now. I just used a dolly for my MES 30 and now a bigger one for my 40, both purchased from Northern Tool, and they fit great. It raises it up a little more, and lets me move it around the garage easily.

I found a similar cart on Costco.com (http://www.costco.com/Alera-3-Tier-...thracite-ALE-SW342416BA.product.11675546.html). Ordered it Monday and got it Tuesday afternoon. I've got my MES 30 up on it now. I haven't set up the trays like in the picture. i don't have a grinder so a buddy of mine in coming over to cut the basket shelf and help me make the side trays.

I did the mailbox mod for my AMZPS and it's working like a champ. I've got a pork shoulder smoking right now. One observation with the mailbox mod the MES seems to struggling a bit to keep the temperature up. I may wind up using the mailbox for cold smoking and stay with the chip loader for hot smokes. I'm going to try to cold smoke some bacon this weekend. I've got a pic but it's on my phone and I've to figure out how to post pictures to the forum.
