At least for a week in January and a week in March. Lemme 'splain..we drive my in-laws from their home in Pittsburgh to their winter destination down south every year just before new year's, and then go pick them up at the end of April. We usually stay a week each time. Apparently Alton Brown has a vacation home less than 200 yards from their front door. I fully plan to walk the dog by his house several times this coming January. Would be pretty neat to bump into him. Yeah, I'm a dork, but the guy is pretty much responsible for me falling in love with cooking.

If you do bump into him, ask him when he's going to do another one of those "road trip" series. Those are great!

Good Eats is my all time favorite cooking show. I still watch the old episodes now and then. It is a bit corny at times, but that's what makes it good.

He is my hero...glad I'm not alone, in my rural area all anyone watches is Rachel Ray...especially the guys ;)

Alton's Good Eats episode explainig the science behind brining is great, its also the one that gives a great thanksgiving turkey recipe.  It's my go to video to remind me how to cook my Thanksgiving bird.  (at least the temps etc.).  Rachel Ray...Not seeing it.

Giada DeLaurentis...Now there's some eye candy.  Her shows are filmed like soft core you know what.  Camera is always showing her licking or sticking something in her mouth and her cleavage is always in the shot, all while make out music is playing in the background.  I guess that is what happens when your grandfather was a famous director.  I used to say to my wife when she was on "Look its T!t$ McGee."   Surprisingly, she laughs at that, rather than giving me the disapproving sneer.

Well, our trip was moved back by a week this year, so we won't be there until the 8th. Not sure if he'll still be there by then.
