I hope I don't get kicked off the site for such a horrible sin,  but I'm "smoking" this brisket in the OVEN.   GOSM is sick so i decided to try an alternate smoke, using liquid smoke in the water dish

some smokehouse maple and slap yo mama for rub


rubbed down and into the fridge for the night


my water pan  with LIQUID SMOKE  onions and red wine


Into the oven  at 225 


anyway the house smells good   nice and smokey so far   lets see how it goes

I'm an ordained minister, but I cannot forgive that sin...Only God can. I mean, comeon! Liquid smoke?!

Looks like you and the assistant smoker will be eating good 
 
I have mixed Liquid Smoke with Apple Juice and Spritzed it onto a Butt I was Roasting in the Oven one time after seeing an episode of Food Detectives in which 2 out of 3 testers chose Ribs that were High Temp Baked with LS verses a Rack that was Grilled over Charcoal as the Wood Grilled Ribs. It was actually pretty tasty! Not what you get off a Smoker but between the LS Spritz and some LS in the Finishing Sauce I was able to satisfy that " Itch for Q " with 2 feet of Snow on the Ground!...JJ
