Anybody ever do a teryaki marinade on a brisket ? If not, any thoughts on the idea? I'm think of doing it tomorrow for a friends sons graduation. I plan on using cherry or apple chips. Whats your thoughts on this.

BTW, last weekend I did a 4lb. brisket and 4 racks of ribs. Using the info here, they came out flawless. THANKS GUYS!!!

I don't marinade beef but if I were going to try something different I personally wouldn't do it for a Graduation Party just in case it didn't turn out well.

I never did a Teriyaki Brisket but growing up Dad frequently grilled Teriyaki Flank Steak. Try this...JJ

Teriyaki Marinade

1C Soy Sauce, Kikkoman is best.

1/2C Mirin, see Note*

1/4C Brown Sugar

2T Rice Vinegar, or White Vinegar

1T Sriracha, or 1/2tsp Cayenne

1T Minced Garlic

1T Minced Ginger

2ea Minced Scallion, or 1T dry Onion Flakes

1tsp Sesame Oil

Combine all and Marinate beef over night. A Ziplock bag with air removed gives best contact.

Note*: All ingredients are usually available in a Grocery store. If Mirin is not available, substitute any Wine and add 1T additional Sugar.
