Used my new smoker for the first time this past weekend....Camp Chef Vault smoker. I was nervous as heck...since I've never done any smoking before. I have to say....it went great and certainly has gotten me hooked!! I smoked two pork shoulders..."picnic cut"...wasn't sure what that meant....but followed all the tips I've read on this site...and POW!!! It was awesome....
The Vault maintained temp very well and quite frankly...was easy to use....the only real concern I had was if I was loading the wood chips properly...and trying to figure out when to add more chips?? Any tips or advise on that?
I certainly want to fire it up soon...maybe try some fish and veggies....
