I have a 3/8" wall pipe, 16" OD, and 22" long. I want to make a reverse flow smoker. I understand that the fire box, cooking chamber and reverse flow plate opening should be certain sizes to operate properly. Any one have any information on the proper dimensions these and other openings should be?

I THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

I do not see a dimension for the opening of the reverse flow plate at the far end, Do you have a opinion?????

Dog, evening.....  They don't give one.... I would assume it needs to be as large as the opening between the fire box and smoke chamber....   For safety sake, I would make it 2 times that dimension... the only reason I would do this is the smoke and air flow need to take a 180 deg turn around the reverse flow plate and there will be some friction loss at that point.....   I could totally be wrong about that dimension.... just saying it makes sense to me....    Dave
