Hey everyone.  New to the forums. Wife had bought me a smoker. It's nothing that great but should do the job. (bought from K-mart). What I'm saying is how do I start to use it. I had never used one. It's a side barrel smoker. I'm just looking for a little help with this. My neighbor has one but he such a d@$! when I asked for a little help with us en it. So I found you guys and gals forum.

Thanks

Read the directions and give 'er a go. Start with something simple. Smoked Johnsonville brats are cheap and and easy smoke to try first. Not to mention that they are very tasty.

Nemo,

Decide what type of meat you like (beef, pork, chicken, etc.).  Read the posts under that heading and find you good tips/recipes.  Good luck and post your results.  Everyone here will help point you in the right direction.
