I'm looking to buy some thermos for my weber kettle and baby Q and i think i found what i wan't
but i was looking on e-bay and their seems to be a big difference in price

1-$10

2-$18

1-$8

My question is are they all the same or are their cheap knock off that look the same ?

Is thermo any good ? Is their better that are worth looking at ?

Bigblue, that is a good thermometer , however if you can afford it, go with a 3" or 4" dial face. Reason is , when you are a distance from your cooker you can check without getting right in  close.IMHO , the larger ones tend to be constructed better and last longer. But then I'm getting older and I can see the BIG numbers better

.

Have fun and...

Pretty much , however , the Maverick 732 is portable , accurite and you can calibrate it (numerically by remembering the temp. difference , get two or more leads as they are the source of the temp. pick-up .

Those look good, but for a bit more money you can pick up some River Country therms that are adjustable if they ever get out of calibration.  Check them out at www.rivercountry101.com .  I used them on my build, boil tested them all (3) and they needed no adjustment right out of the box.

Not trying to start a flame war here, but I bought a thermometer identical to the River Country branded one at Academy Sports here in Texas. It is identical down to the packaging, only the branding is different.

My guess is that all of them are made in the same Asian factory and branded as needs be when they are packaged.

I paid $10 but that was only because I didn't want to wait for one to come from the an etailer.
