My name is Al and I am in Georgia.  I use to have a smoker year ago and love doing it.  I had told my wife that I want to get back into smoking so this year my son got me a Brinkmann Vertical Charcoal Smoker.  Last weekend I cook a turkey and it came out great.  The only problem I had was getting the temp up.  I read on the web site so I got a wok this week from Lowes and will try again tomorrow.  I going to smoke some chicken wings and salmon for Christmas.   Hope it come out as good as the turkey.  I going to get the fire started with a little charcoal and then add wood.  I have been reading a lot this week on this web site on what need to be done so we see how it come out.

Well ya come to the right place and these fine folk will learn ya up real good (sorry, I watched a Mayberry RFD show with my grandson and I've got ol' Andy's voice stuck running around in my mind)

If you can find an old cast iron fry pan, that will work real good too.
