just a thought

I know that i am blessed living in south Louisiana to have  fresh seafood available year round and to have some of the most amazing cooks in the world to learn from.

But lately i have been venturing out into uncharted waters.

We have started going to a lot of the ethnic markets in the area.

There are ,Hispanic , oriental, middle eastern, Indian,  vietnemese, and thai markets

here in town.

If you have these types of stores in your area , Please take time to stop in and look around. You may be amazed at what you find.

We got 'em in Houston, and I love going to them.

Your right about that Bob! That's the one thing we miss about living in Ft. Lauderdale. Every ethnicity was represented & the markets were unbelievable.

The ethnic markets and deli's are really fun.  Great places for hard to find items.  Also, sometimes we score some great prices on seasonings in the bulk.

Good luck and good smoking.

Love all the ethnic market in Houston.  Between the Hispanic and Asian Markets almost no cut of meat is impossible to find.

One of the only things I miss from Atlanta was the Asian supermarket..

I have posted a number of pics and stories about the fun and strange things there..
