Since I have never used anything but a propane fryer outside, I have no idea of the smell and/or smoke generated by an electric fryer. Does anyone use an electric fryer inside a house without commercial air handling hoods?  What are the risks of an electric fryer in the house? 

I was looking at one at Costco's this weekend but I guess I'm still a little bit of a wimp.
