New here and just want to say from the posts I have been reading this is a cool site, I am building my first fridge smoker, I have a 1940's fridge with metal all inside, and I have been reading about seasoning it before your fist use, can someone help me on this, I have read that you put peanut oil on the inside and smoke it up or just smoke and some say just get it to a high heat and start from there?? I am getting ready to put in chim. tonight and PID next week end will hope to get pics uploaded. I right now I am using a electric element and figure can get it to about 200degrees, will try tonight Thanks for any info. Steve,
