First smoke with my

new A-MAZE-N-PELLET SMOKER.  I am smoking 2 Pork Loins today using my new pellet smoker that I bought from Todd this week. I know now why he named it what he did I am 4 hrs. into the smoke and have used only 3/4 of the first row of pellets. The smoke is just right not to much and not to little. I did supply some air into the bottom inside of the smoker with a small pump because my Electric smoker has NO air vent holes in the bottom. It is working great. I am using the mixed blend pellets and the loins are getting a real nice color to them..I will post Q-View later. I will not be able to post a Money shot because both of these are going to the church.

Can you also post a pic of the air pump and how it's fed thru the intake?

0826011757.jpgI ended up with a 6 1/2 hr. smoke on these guys and you can see how much of the pellet load that I used and where I stopped it when the smoke was done. I smoked the Loins at 235* I had to take them to the church for a ladies dinner so I did not get to taste them but was told that they were really good and very moist... As stated before I added a little mod to my smoker to add air flow so the unit could get enough air for proper burn. I just drilled a small hole in the bottom side of the smoker and attached a small air pump and ran the air hose thru the hole that I had drilled. It worked perfect and I had no trouble with the burn. My little smoker has NO air vents anywhere in the bottom since it is electric and only  1 about the size of a quarter at the top. Here are some pic of the way that I installed it...Thanks for looking....and thanks Todd it is going to make my life much easier not having to add wood chips every 30 min while smoking...0826011114.jpg0826012335.jpgdownsized_0827010823.jpg0827010820.jpg0827010821.jpg

Nice little mod there, Bill.

I will have to refer to this, with all the guys who have mentioned they don't have any air flow in their smokers.

Not sure, but I think MES Analog smokers have that problem.

Yes Bear mine is sealed up tighter than a drum so I had to get some air in there some how and it worked just fine...

And the winner is.......Roller!

Thanks for the very simple mod!

This will allow my little gadget to work in any smoker, with or without vents.

Very Cool!

And the "Church Ladies" Thank You Too!!
