Howdy! I have been a long time lurker, but I finally decided to join the forums since I have received so much useful information from the site. I have been cooking on a variety of grills for most of my life, but I just recently purchased a Weber Smokey Mountain before the Fourth. I have always wanted to take the leap into the world of smoking meat, but I just never seemed to have the time I knew it would take to become proficient. I'm happy to say I have had several successful smokes thus far - I have smoked baby back ribs twice, a whole chicken, brisket, sausages and most recently a pork shoulder. All turned out great and my family is really enjoying the food. Thank you for all of the info I have acquired here thus far and thanks in advance for all of the new information I am sure to pick up in the future.
